The Neo-Futurists have offered me the title of Artistic Associate and I'm pleased as punch to tell you that I lost my collective shit when I got that email. 95% of who I have become as a writer and performing artist has been thanks to their workshops and instructors, and the relationships I got to build there. I was lucky to be part of the devising ensemble in their prime-time show Chalk & Saltwater: The Ladder Project, which was an enormous undertaking for all of us in research/writing/performing; and also a cast member in The Sovereign Statement, a delicious political procedural that contained brilliant alternate scripts embedded in the show so the audience rarely saw the same performance twice. I've helped out where I can on a couple other shows/projects of theirs (my AA bio is here) and I'm just so thrilled with all of this that I might need to go lay down for a while.
Their workshops really are wonderful mind-openers, I cannot recommend them enough. You can learn more here.
Putting myself to bed because Hot Damn,
