As you may have gleaned from the previous entry, occasionally John Szymanski and I get together and do music. We call our duo “Ed”.
Over the years we would write/record together for fun (and in a blue moon we perform live) but as our respective schedules got busier and busier our get-togethers became more and more rare.
However, a show called One Night Only has asked us to perform and we both happened to be available, so hooray! ONO is a night full of music from several different musicians/bands. Shows always center around a movie soundtrack, and everyone is assigned a few songs from the soundtrack to cover, and are also asked to pick and perform a couple other songs that fit the theme.
June’s show is centered around “O Brother, Where Art Thou?”. So June 12th at The Store, Johnny and I will get to reunite and do some songs from the soundtrack, plus a couple originals of our own, since we happen to have some that fit in that genre.
I'm really looking forward to the whole evening. That soundtrack is killer, who wouldn't want to hear all of it done live??
